Get Bubbly at Lagerheadz

Using the motto “get out of your shell,” Laherheadz (606 North Pinellas Avenue) helps the community do just that. With fresh food, daily entertainment and friendly service, the establishment seems to be a mainstay in Tarpon Springs.

Lagerheadz offers more than 80 craft beers, ales and ciders. It is open seven days a week and is known for its daily 50¢ oysters and $1 draft beers. Customers can also view the 2,000 gallon aquarium inside the restaurant or feed live alligators out back.

For my first visit to the joint, I indulged in the Salmon Burger ($7.99). Fresh Atlantic salmon is blended with bread crumbs, eggs and herbs before being lightly fried to perfection. The burger is then served on a toasted bun with fries on the side and all the toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Add cheese (like I did) for $1 more.
