Tarpon Springs Police are investigating the "suspicious" death of a 73-year-old man who was reportedly found dead by his caretaker, officials said Friday.

Tarpon Springs Police are investigating a "suspicious" death at an apartment complex that they are considering a homicide, officials said Friday.
Authorities said they received a 911 call at 7:56 a.m. about a deceased adult male at a North Ring Avenue apartment complex.
Eddie Dixon, 73, was found by his caretaker, who visits the residence each day to assist him with daily activities, according to a release from the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

"The death is suspicious and is being investigated as a Homicide," the release states. "Specific details of the crime are being withheld in order not to compromise the investigation."
Forensic investigators are on the scene to assist with processing the crime scene, officials said Friday afternoon. The apartment complex is bordered by the Pinellas Trail and Pine Street.
