• Memory Café at the Tarpon Springs Public Library (wmnf.org) — Residents caring for loved ones with memory loss can now attend a new monthly Memory Café at the Tarpon Springs Public Library, starting Saturday, Jan. 3. The free gathering offers refreshments, activities, and connections with other caregivers, plus information on the library’s new Memory Care Collection. Sessions will run the first Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

• 36 Charges Filed, 233 Citations Given Out During DUI Patrol: Pinellas Sheriff (patch.com) — Tarpon Springs drivers were among those monitored during a recent countywide DUI Wolf Pack Patrol that led to 36 charges and 233 citations across Pinellas County. Sixteen people were arrested for DUI as multiple local police departments, including Tarpon Springs, joined the sheriff’s office to target impaired drivers and raise awareness about drunk and drugged driving.
