Tarpon Springs Pedestrian Killed in Friday Night Crash
A 70-year-old man is dead following a Friday night crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
TARPON SPRINGS, FL — A 70-year-old Tarpon Springs man is dead following a Friday night crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
According to the Tarpon Springs Police Department, Carlos M. Cruz-Torres was crossing the road in the 900 block just before 7 p.m. when he was hit by a 2000 Nissan driven by Carly R. Walker, 21, of Tarpon Springs. Police say Walker was in the westbound lane.
Cruz-Torres was airlifted to a local hospital, but died from his injuries.

No charges are expected, but the crash remains under investigation.
