Tarpon Springs Police Officers Accept Awards

Last week, a number of departmental awards were given to officers from the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

On Monday, October 15th the Tarpon Springs Police Department held an awards ceremony, honoring seven of their own for a variety of accomplishments.

The department's Awards Committee met in September to go over a number of recommendations and approved the following recipients:

Officer Steve Gassen: Award of Excellence

Corporal John Spatz: Department Letter of Commendation

Corporal Derek Anderson: Department Letter of Commendation

Detective Barry Wireman: Department Letter of Commendation

Detective William Peters: Department Letter of Commendation

Detective John Loibl: Department Letter of Commendation

Officer Tommy Nguyen: Police Commendation
