Tarpon to Wawa: Open Here, 'Please!'
It's unanimous. Readers want Wawa to open in Tarpon Springs, based on comments on Patch and Facebook.

"Bring please" is the plea from Tarpon Springs Patch Facebook follower Adam Harvey to Wawa store developers.
Harvey is referring to plans by the RKM Development Corp. of St. Petersburg to develop a Wawa convenience store near the intersection of US 19 and Klosterman Road. St. Pete College has agreed to sell land for the store's development.
But will Tarpon residents be as keen about Wawa as consumers in the Northeast, where the chain launched?

Ya! Ya! say local readers about Wawa in their community.
"I'm ready for one!" agrees Facebook follower Amanda Jimenez, writing on the Tarpon Springs Patch group page. "Have to drive out to NPR (New Port Richey) to get to one now."

Jimenez is not just thinking about convenience. "I grew up in Jersey," Jimenez explained about her undying loyalty to Wawa. "My Wawa growing up didn't have gas, but the drinks and subs were delish."
Sandwiches, coffee, smoothies and cleanliness are Adam Harvey's top four reasons for giving Wawa the thumbs up.
Christopher Devi Watson is just as impressed with just about everything Wawa has to offer customers.
Explained Watson on the Tarpon Springs Patch Facebook group page: "I went there two times in three days! love their subs!! and made fresh!..cheap! 2.99 for a toasted Italian with chedder and loaded with the fixings."
Then there's Irene Zoidis Wright. She may not have had the full Wawa experience yet, but she likes the idea of the business moving to Tarpon.
Irene Zoidis Wright also gets giddy when talking about Wawa on Facebook:
"As long as they take an existing vacant business and rebuild there... no problem with it," she wrote on Facebook.
Yet Harvey, the Facebook follower, summed it up best in a comment, when Tarpon Springs Patch asked if he wants Wawa in Tarpon:
"Please!" he replied.
