Michelle Obama, Tim Walz Lead GA Rallies To Boost Turnout: Reports
As early voting nears its end, Democrats Michelle Obama and Tim Walz hold rallies in Georgia on Tuesday.
GEORGIA — Former First Lady Michelle Obama and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are in Georgia on Tuesday one week ahead of Election Day, according to a media report.
Early voting in the 2024 general election ends Friday, but Obama and Walz are in town holding rallies for supporters.
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, is challenged by former President Donald Trump to be the next White House chief.

Walz, Harris' vice presidential pick, planned rallies in Savannah and Columbus, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Walz led an event that started at 1:45 p.m. in Savannah, and then travels to Columbus for a 6 p.m. rally, WJCL reported.
Also in Georgia, Obama will be headlining the When We All Vote event in Atlanta at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The rally will be livestreamed on When We All Vote's website.

"Georgia! I’m excited to join @WhenWeAllVote for a rally in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 29," Obama wrote on Instagram. "With early voting happening right now — it’s important that folks make a plan to vote by Election Day."
Also scheduled to appear at the event are Victoria Monet, DJ D-Nice, Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Ari Lennox and Kelly Rowland, Fox 5 reported.
Polls close at 7 p.m., Nov. 5, Election Day.
Voters will not only decide who will next lead the U.S.; they will also choose between candidates in a handful of local races.
Harris has a modest lead ahead of Trump in the national polls, the Morning Consult 2024 poll showed Tuesday. Harris was up 50 percent to Trump's 47 percent.
