Cornerstone Swim Team Dives Into Victory at State

Congratulations to the Cornerstone Prep swim team on an incredible finish at the State Championship on February 1.

Cornerstone swimmers showcased their talent and determination and set new school records as follows:

• Riley Ahmed – 100 Individual Medley (1:43.48)
• Audrey Bloom – 100 Breaststroke (1:19.92)
• Lincoln Durity – 50 Breaststroke (49.94)

In addition, Cornerstone had Top Overall Finishes for two swimmers:

• Audrey Bloom – 2nd place (200 Freestyle), 2nd place (50 Freestyle), 3rd place (100 Breaststroke)
• Josh Smith – 3rd place (500 Freestyle), 4th place (200 Individual Medley), 4th place (100 Butterfly)

As a team, Cornerstone finished 8th overall—their best finish in four years and tied with their record from five years ago. Out of 285 swimmers from 17 schools across the state, Cornerstone athletes left their mark.
