Accused Drunk Driver Hits Police Car On New Year's Day: Cops
Police say the driver was nearly three times over the legal limit when she struck the patrol car on Ga. 400 in Roswell.
ALPHARETTA, GA — The days leading up to New Year's Eve celebrations are filled with law enforcement agencies stressing the importance of residents refraining from drinking and driving. While many of us take note and follow the law, a few of our neighbors never get the message.
That became clear early New Year's Day when a driver suspected to be under the influence allegedly struck a police car early Tuesday on Ga. 400 in North Fulton County.
According to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, the suspected drunk driver crashed into one of its patrol cars on the southbound side near the Holcomb Bridge Road interchange.

"Thankfully our officers were out of their cars and were not injured," Alpharetta police said.
