Here are the top three stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:
- Alpharetta police are conducting an investigation into a vehicle burglary that occurred on Jun. 3, during which multiple handguns and other belongings were stolen. The incident took place at the Avalon Regal movie theatre, where the man parked his vehicle around 6:00 p.m. Upon returning after several hours, he discovered that his passenger window had been forcefully opened. The thief seized the opportunity to steal a bag containing several handguns, magazines, and additional firearm accessories. At present, no suspect has been identified in relation to the incident. - Plan ahead for Fourth of July celebrations in and around Alpharetta-Milton, with fireworks shows, parades, and festivals to enjoy. The Independence Day Walking and Celebration Parade will take place at Wills Park in Alpharetta from 8:00-10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jul. 4. In Milton, there will be festivities at 12615 Broadwell Road from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jul. 1, including contests, inflatables, food vendors, face painting, and arts and crafts. Don't forget to check parking options as well, with designated lots at Wills Park in Alpharetta and partial road closures near the park once lots are full. (Alpharetta Patch)
