Armed Man Who Barricaded Himself In Alpharetta Home Goods Now In Custody: Police

Police have arrested a man who barricaded himself inside a Home Goods store in an Alpharetta shopping center.

ALPHARETTA, GA — A man accused of hiding with a gun inside an Alpharetta shopping center Tuesday has been arrested, according to police.

The center evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a report of a person hiding with a gun inside a Home Goods store, according to police. Police said they responded to reports of a person with a gun around at the Home Goods in the Mansell Crossing shopping complex, 7491 North Point Parkway. No shots were fired, police said.

"As of 12:20pm, officers have located the suspect inside the store and have him contained," police said. "The store has been completely evacuated and negotiators are on scene attempting to make contact."
