Author Rona Simmons to sign copies of her WWII-themed books Saturday

Rona Simmons will be sharing her passion for finding and telling stories of World War II Saturday at Lakewood 400 Antiques Market, 1321 Atlanta Highway, Cumming.

"The sweep of events, from the First World War, to the Great Depression, to World War II, had momentous impact on our lives,” Simmons said, adding, "the era is a period we can still almost touch with our fingertips.” This is a sentiment well-suited to the setting of her Saturday event, where antiques and memorabilia will be in the spotlight.

Simmons will be signing copies of her books, “A Gathering of Men” and “The Other Veterans of World War II: Stories from Behind the Front Lines.” Both titles are tales of the remarkable but often untold contributions of our fallen.
