• Sheriff's office volunteer dies, was hit by vehicle directing traffic for Cumming Christmas parade (wsbtv.com) — A longtime law enforcement veteran and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office volunteer died at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta after being struck by a vehicle while directing traffic for the Cumming Christmas parade. Authorities say the driver stayed on scene as charges are considered, and local agencies are honoring the volunteer’s years of service to the community.
