Buck Belue, QB of 1980 UGA National Championship Team, Discusses Book

On Jan. 17 in Alpharetta, A Novel Idea hosts Belue, author of "Inside the Hedges," a quarterback's reflections on UGA's winning 1980 season

For University of Georgia fans still soaring after the Dawgs' second straight College Football Playoff National Championship win, A Novel Idea has just the ticket: The quarterback of the winning 1980 UGA team discussing his new book.

"Inside the Hedges" by Buck Belue is a look back at the Bulldogs' 1980 National Championship-winning season from the quarterback's perspective. Belue, who is currently a sports radio host in Atlanta, will be speaking and signing books Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Alpharetta Branch Library, 10 Park Plaza, Alpharetta.

The free event, hosted by A Novel Idea in collaboration with the Atlanta Writers Club, will begin at 6 p.m., with an afterparty to follow at Restaurant Holmes, 50 S. Main St., Alpharetta.
