Police ID Driver Killed After Car Crashes Into Business
Alpharetta police said the Sandy Springs resident died Friday after his vehicle crashed into Pier 1 imports near North Point Mall.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Police have released the identity of the man who died Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash near North Point Mall in Alpharetta.
Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesperson officer Howard Miller said a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Howard Ray Gibson, Jr. of Sandy Springs crashed into Pier 1 Imports at 6551 North Point Parkway.
"Sadly, the driver has passed away," he said, adding no other injuries were reported. The agency's Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigation the crash, Miller said.
