Free Tax Prep, Filing Offered In North Fulton

North Fulton Community Charities is offering the Volunteer Income Tax Program to individuals whose income was less than $55,000 in 2018.

ROSWELL, GA — North Fulton Community Charities is teaming up with the Internal Revenue Service and United Way to bring the Volunteer Income Tax program to the area.

This program provides free tax preparation and filing assistance for individuals whose income was less than $55,000 in 2018. Taxes are prepared in-person by IRS trained and certified volunteers.

NFCC is currently booking appointments for this free service. These appointments begin Feb. 1 and run through April 13. The service is open to anyone in North Fulton who meets the income requirements. NFCC is the only VITA program location in North Fulton County.

“We are so happy bring the VITA program to North Fulton again this year,” said Eden Purdy, director of programs at NFCC “This community outreach effort helps working individuals and families simplify the tax filing process and makes it easy for them to file.”
