Milton Cross Country Teams Race Well at Largest Meet of the Season

On the grounds of famous movies like Avengers Endgame & Black Panther, the Eagle cross country teams raced the best teams in the state & some very strong out-of-state teams to place in the top-10 in three of the four races Milton competed in with many personal bests & two best performances in school history.

BOYS Race Summary

Milton-9th of 40 teams, 414 pts (Huntsville (AL)-152 pts, Sunlake (FL)-212 pts, Broughton (NC)-226 pts) 322 finishers.

Senior captain Zach Patell (17th-15:25, 4th best performer in school history), junior Justin Sevel (48th-15:49), sophomore Everett Lawder (131st-16:31), senior Chris Murray (144th-16:35), sophomore Jayin Batra (170th-16:47), freshman Will Chambers (195th-17:00), senior Daniel Murray (240th-17:24) and freshman Luke Rasmituth (249th-17:28).

JV BOYS

Sophomore Hollis Thompson (22nd-22:24), juniors Rowan Katekovich (26th-22:28), Shreya Shetty (27th-22:29), Grace Lochman (42nd-22:49), Ashley Murray (48th-22:58), and freshman Cara Tenhundfeld (54th-23:05) & Medhya Sivaganesh (60th-23:09).

The Eagle cross country teams will next race on Friday night, October 13th at the Pickens & Grinnin’ Invitational at Roper Park in Jasper, GA where Milton will face 20 teams in their last regular season meet before the GHSA Region 6-7A championship meet, slated for Friday, Oct 20th at Chattahoochee Pointe Park in Cumming, GA to qualify teams to the GHSA State Championship meet.
