Milton Track Teams Compete at 27th Roswell Relays
School Records, Top Finishes lead Eagles effort
The Milton track & field teams saw two girls’ school records fall while competing at the 27th Annual Roswell Relays this past weekend.
The girls finished 16th as a team overall defeating 9 schools while the boys were 9th out of 22 scoring schools.
Freshman Simone Dennis (6th-12.15) broke the 10-yr old school record in the 100 meters (old record 12.22, Kia Carson, 2014) and then ran on the school record setting 4x200m relay team (8th-1:47.79) with Juliana Gross, Nya Smith & Kelsey Anderson breaking the year-old record by about a second. Other highlights on the girls’ side included the Distance Medley relay (5th-13:02.88) team made up of seniors Calista Cacciatore, Leelah Dennis, Ella Grace Malcom & Emerson Armistead running the 3rd-best time in school history.

On the boys’ side the highlights were the sprinting of Hughan Frederick (4th-10.88) & CJ Wiley (5th-10.91) in the 100 meters as those performances were the 2nd & 5th best recorded at Milton. Both Frederick & Wiley came back to team up with Amauri Anderson & Bryce Young in the 4x200m relay (4th-1:30.08) to record the 3rd best time in school history. One final highlight was the 4x1600m relay (3rd-19:01.81) team of Will Chambers, Justin Sevel, Jayin Batra & Everett Lawder who recorded the 10th best time in school history while finishing 3rd place overall in the event.
