New Doctor Joins Georgia Cancer Specialists

Dr. Mary Ninan will practice at Georgia Cancer Specialists' Alpharetta and Johns Creek offices.

ALPHARETTA, GA — A new face has joined the lineup of Georgia Cancer Specialists doctors treating patients in their care. Dr. Mary Ninan will work in GCS's offices in Alpharetta and Johns Creek.

The doctor is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, myeloma and breast cancer.

Georgia Cancer Specialists, affiliated with the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute, offers medical oncology and hematology services and is a national leader in advanced cancer treatment and research. The practice was the first private oncology practice in Georgia to provide a full range of support services for patients.

"I love working in oncology primarily because I am able to help my patients choose and navigate a complex treatment plan and achieve the best outcome possible," Dr. Ninan said. "I consider it my privilege to guide and support my patients during some of the most vulnerable and hardest times of their lives."

Dr. Ninan received her medical degree from Trichur Medical College, University of Calicut, India. She completed her residency at Atlanta Medical Center, and fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

With experience in both the academic and outpatient clinic settings, Dr. Ninan "is dedicated to advancing oncology research and has been involved with several clinical trials focused on advancing the treatment of leukemia and multiple myeloma, Northside Hospital said.
