The city in February made its first greenspace bond purchase when it acquired the property, which totals more than 130 acres. The passive areas of the park remain closed to the public; however, Milton was able to get the active elements (tennis and swim) temporarily going to accommodate the 2018 swim and tennis seasons until the community planning process could facilitate the long-term master plan for this new city park.
"We would like to thank the community for their patience while we executed a number of short-term administrative tasks associated with the easements and addressed immediate swim and tennis needs," the city said. "Now that summer is over and Milton households are getting back to a normal schedule, the community planning process is officially kicking off next month."
