  2. Local clergy members and senior church officials are moving cautiously amidst the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade on Friday. Many are calling for calm and respectful discussions on the issue that has divided congregations. “For many in our country who’ve been fighting for this for so long, this felt like a huge win,” said Pastor Andy Stanley at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta. “But for others in our country, this felt like a gut punch. These are the cultural moments where the church has an opportunity to shine, even when we don’t necessarily agree.” (Subscription: Wall Street Journal)
  3. Fulton County is considering increasing the rate that residential and commercial customers pay for water service throughout the county, including Alpharetta. The county will hold a public hearing to receive citizen comments about the proposed rate hike tomorrow, Tuesday, Jun. 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Fulton County North Service Center located at 7741 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.   4. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office and Atlanta Police Department were on the scene during protests in the streets of Downtown Atlanta over the weekend. Hundreds of people made their voices known and stated they disagreed with the decision of the Supreme Court that the ability to determine the legality of abortion should lie with the states. "My grandma – she protested in DC for Roe v. Wade when that all happened and I figured it’s my time now," said one marcher. (11 Alive)
  5. The agenda for the Jun. 27 meeting of the Alpharetta City Council includes five public hearings for the consideration of zoning and land use applications.
