Rep. Martin Named Chair Of Higher Education Committee

Martin will also serve on several other committees, including Utilities & Telecommunications, Ways and Means and Science and Technology.

ALPHARETTA, GA — State Rep. Chuck Martin has been named chairman of the House Higher Education Committee, the Georgia House of Representatives said this week.

The Alpharetta legislator will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Regulated Industries, Retirement, Rules, Science and Technology and Ways and Means committees. Martin was also appointed to the House Working Group on Creative Arts & Entertainment.

“I am honored to be selected to chair the House Higher Education Committee,” said Martin, a Republican. “I will work hard alongside committee members, the higher education community, taxpayers and students in support of 21st century requirements.”
