What’s Open, Closed On MLK Jr. Day 2022 In Alpharetta-Milton

ALPHARETTA-MILTON, GA — On Monday, residents and businesses in Alpharetta-Milton will take a moment to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr.

As a federal holiday, MLK Day could also affect the hours of government offices, libraries, public transportation, garbage pickup and other services in Alpharetta-Milton.

Before you head out, here’s a roundup of what’s open and what’s closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in our city:

• Fulton County courts, facilities and offices are closed on Monday, Jan. 17.
• Fulton County public safety services are available 365 days per year.
• Alpharetta garbage pick up will not be impacted.
• All Fulton County public libraries will be closed Monday.
• Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority: Buses, trains and the streetcar will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday, Jan. 17.
• Alpharetta Adult Activity Center at North Park will be closed Monday.
• Fulton County Schools are closed on Monday.
• Municipal offices for Alpharetta and Milton are closed on Monday.
