Drug Task Force Makes Arrest at Northcrest Drive Residence in Athens
A quantity of marijuana, a hand gun, scale, and cash were seized on Thursday. An arrest does not mean a conviction.
Members of the Northeast Georgia Drug Task Force on Thursday executed a search warrant at a residence on Northcrest Drive.
According to a police, the action was in response to citizen complaints.
A undisclosed quantity of marijuana was seized along with a hand gun, scale, and cash, police said.

Corby L. Davenport, 42, of Colbert, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, violation of parole and failure to appear. Madison County also placed a hold on Davenport, jail records confirmed.
Another man was picked up on outstanding warrants in Madison County for child support and probation violation.

Representatives from the Community Protection Division also cited the lease holder for ordinance violations.
