2 $1M Powerball Tickets Sold In Georgia: Check Your Numbers
Two tickets bought in 2 metro Atlanta cities are worth $1 million, the Georgia Lottery says. Tickets bought in Cobb, Fulton are worth $50K.

ATLANTA, GA -- If you're a lottery player in Georgia, you'd better check your numbers. Two tickets sold in metro Atlanta are worth $1 million, lottery officials said.
Georgia isn't the state that won Wednesday's $759 million Powerball jackpot, which took place in Massachusetts -- but two lucky people from here have a pretty cool consolation. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
Two Atlanta-area Powerball tickets -- one purchased in Atlanta and the other in Ellenwood -- each won $1 million, the Georgia Lottery said. Another ticket bought in Macon won $200,000.

Mega-Millionaire Lottery Winners: Where Are They Now?
According to the Georgia Lottery website, the winning numbers are 6, 7, 16, 23 and 26; the Powerball number is 4.

Fourteen other tickets won $50,000, lottery officials said. Below are the cities were those tickets were purchased:
- Atlanta (2)
- Blythe
- College Park
- Columbus
- Comer
- Cumming
- Doraville
- Fayetteville
- Marietta (2)
- Savannah
- Scottdale
- Tallapoosa
On Facebook, the Georgia Lottery said of the state winnings, #NotBadAtAll and we concur.
Powerball drawings are held twice a week -- Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. ET. In January 2016, a group of Tennessee workers won a record $1.6 billion prize.
If you didn't win this go-around, take heed, a $40 million drawing is set for Saturday.
