Atlanta Casting Calls: These TV Shows Need Actors

ATLANTA, GA -- Casting agencies are looking for talent in metro Atlanta for a number of big projects on the small screen.

Georgia has been a favorite location for TV productions since the state instituted generous tax breaks for film companies that agree to shoot locally. Projects from CBS, NBC, HBO, BET and more are slated to shoot in the metro area in 2017.

Here are the productions that currently need metro Atlanta-based actors, models and talent to play various roles:

'McGyver'

The rebooted TV series seeks models and actors, including those who have been casted before, to play airport travelers and MIT students (ages 18 to 26). The scenes will be filmed on Thursday, Feb. 23 in Atlanta.

The set needs airport patrons/travelers, and business people made up caucasian men and women, African American men and Asian men and women. The castings will be handled by Central Casting.

'Survivor's Remorse'

The fourth season of "Survivor's Remorse" is casting for a specialty role: "Trophy Wife." The role will be for a charity auction gala scene Friday, Feb. 17 in Atlanta. To submit, please visit Hylton Casting.

'Fam-i-ly'

The feature film "Fam-i-ly" is looking for girls with "intermediate to advanced tumbling" skills for a scene involving gymnasts. The girls need to be ages 11 to 15. All ethnicities are encouraged to apply.

The shoot date will be anytime between Feb. 24 and March 31, according to TaylorMade Casting, which is handling auditions. When you apply, please include:

BET's 'Tales'

"Tales," a new BET scripted anthology series produced by music mogul Irv Gotti, is seeking background actors and featured roles for the show. The series will "adapt the lyrics of classic hip-hop songs into three-act, 60-minute narratives," according to a summary of the show. Pierre Casting is handling auditions. Filming will take place in mid-February through the end of March.
