Atlanta Is 7th-Best In Keeping New Year's Resolutions
WalletHub compared 150 cities on goals such as 'adult obesity' and 'income growth.'

ATLANTA, GA -- As Americans ring in the new year, millions resolve to make improvements in some aspect of their lives. For some it may involve losing weight after enjoying the excess of the holidays. For others, it has to do with finances and saving money. Still, others may seek to live their best lives by embarking on some spiritual journey or awakening.
Whatever you decide, the key is sticking to it. Atlantans do pretty well in that regard, according to a new report by WalletHub, which compared 150 cities on goals such as "adult obesity" and "income growth."
Atlanta ranks seventh in the United States when it comes to cities with residents who keep their New Year's resolutions. As the only representative of the Southeast in the top 10, that means that we can have our cake (with sweet tea) and eat it, too.

There were some regional realities that factored into the rankings. For instance, if you resolve to get a better job in Detroit, it's going to be tough. Motown ranks dead last in unemployment rate, which is 12.4 percent, according to WalletHub.
