Parham said that the purpose of the show is to give Clark Atlanta students real-world experience in front of and behind the camera.

“My goal in creating ‘The Sideline’ was to fill a void in the AUC,” Parham said. “The show highlights the accomplishments of AUC student-athletes, not only on the playing field, but also in the classroom. It also gives CAU mass media arts students practical experience as reporters, anchors and camera operators.”
