CNN Among Outlets Excluded From White House Briefing
In a first, Trump White House only let a 'gaggle' of media organizations in Friday's meeting.
ATLANTA, GA -- In a first, the Trump White House excluded several major news organizations from a briefing Friday, opting instead to let a "gaggle" of media organizations it deemed friendly into the meeting. Reporters from sites that have written critical articles about President Donald Trump, from the New York Times to BuzzFeed News to the Los Angeles Times and Politico were told they weren't allowed in the West Wing office of Press Secretary Sean M. Spicer.
CNN, based in Atlanta, said that the move by the White House was an "unacceptable development," but vowed to continue to report the news as it always has.

Explaining why big news organizations were barred from the briefing, Spicer said, "Because we had a pool and then we expanded it. It was my decision to expand the pool.”
