Crack Addict Sentenced To Life In Woman's Brutal Murder
Demetrius Flournoy poured bleach on Janice Renee Hutchison's body in an attempt to conceal her murder.

ATLANTA -- A man has been convicted of stabbing and choking a woman to death with an electrical cord because she was unable to provide him with any crack cocaine. Demetrius Flournoy, 47, then poured bleach on the body of Janice Renee Hutchison in an attempt to conceal the murder.
On August 3, 2014, Flournoy went to Hutchison's Boulevard Northeast apartment. Flournoy was a crack cocaine addict and prosecutors said he believed Hutchison would help him get the drug since they had smoked crack together before. When Flournoy arrived, he realized Hutchison did have any crack cocaine or cash. That's when Flournoy stabbed Hutchison and then strangled her with a white electrical cord. Flournoy then stole Hutchison’s television and DVD player with the intent on selling them.
Three days later, apartment workers found Hutchison’s body body on the living room floor, face-down, with the electrical cord around her neck. Police recovered an empty bottle of bleach, a crack pipe, and a screwdriver from underneath a couch cushion. Police said Flournoy poured bleach on Hutchison’s body in an attempt to conceal the murder.
