  1. Georgia’s gas tax has been suspended by Gov. Brian Kemp for the fifth time. The latest extension will be in effect until Nov. 11, 2023. The gas tax extension saves residents 30 cents per gallon for gas and 33 cents per gallon for diesel. (WSB Atlanta)
  2. The Atlanta Police are asking for help in locating a missing Atlanta man with "diminished mental capacity." 57-year-old Von Hardwick is six feet, four inches tall, and weighs about 125 pounds. Hardwick was last seen in the area of Old Fairburn Road Southwest on Oct. 1 at 10:30 p.m. If you have any information about Hardwick's whereabouts, call 911. (FOX 5 Atlanta)

  4. The last of 200 households officially moved out of the condemned Forest Cove Apartments 0n Sep. 30. The Southeast Atlanta apartment complex was condemned as uninhabitable earlier in 2022. Under an agreement with the City of Atlanta, the complex will be rehabilitated to create safe, quality housing for those residents who were forced to leave their homes. (Reporter Newspapers)
  5. Popular sports bar "Buckhead Saloon" was destroyed after a large fire on Monday morning. Atlanta firefighters saw the flames from their firehouse a few doors down around 8:11 a.m. It reportedly took 50 firefighters and an hour to put out the fire, which is currently under investigation.
