Grady Hospital Cafeteria Scores 47 on Health Inspection
The Georgia Department of Health completed the inspection on Dec. 14.
ATLANTA, GA -- Grady Memorial Hospital prides itself on being a beacon of health in metro Atlanta, but a paltry score on a recent inspection of its main cafeteria is a blow to its reputation.
The main cafeteria to the hospital on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive in Atlanta was inspected by the Georgia Department of Health on Dec. 14, according to the state's Fulton County Public Health inspection page, which is online.
The cafeteria scored a 47 out of 100 due to several violations related to sanitation. The health department itemized such things as "hands clean and properly washed," along with "Certified Food Protection Manager."

The overall grade letter given to the cafeteria was "U".
"We take this isolated case very seriously and the outside vendor that manages our cafeteria has already made personnel changes to correct the problem," the hospital told AJC.
