- "Art of The Brick" is a new immersive experience that showcases over 70 artworks by renowned contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya, made up of over one million LEGO bricks. The exhibition will feature 3D video mapping and a musical score to enhance the visitor's experience. Tickets for the experience that will be held at the Exhibition Hub Art Center go on sale on Mar. 28. (What Now Atlanta)
- The Atlanta Jazz Festival is returning to Piedmont Park from May 27-29, showcasing an impressive lineup of local and international artists across three stages. The festival is free and open to the public, offering a range of jazz styles from sultry vocalists to Latin, contemporary, and fusion jazz. The festival will also feature artwork from artist Alex Brewer, known as HENSE, showcasing his colorful and contemporary abstract paintings and wall pieces. - A new report was released that names Atlanta as the No. 1 overpriced housing market in the country. According to the Beracha and Johnson housing market ranking, the average price of homes in Atlanta was 51 percent higher than its expected price at the end of January. However, officials at the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported that although prices are high, they are still going down – in June 2022, the housing premium median price in metro Atlanta was $432,000, and last month the median was $387,000. - President Joe Biden awarded medals to a group of singers, authors, artists, and humanitarians at the White House on Tuesday. The event, Biden’s first batch of awards for the arts and humanities, featured Bruce Springsteen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mindy Kaling, and Atlanta's own Gladys Knight, among others. Biden joked about seeking reelection after noting that Colson Whitehead had won back-to-back Pulitzer Prizes. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Two women, Jada Whatley, 29, and Tiquita Miles, 32, were killed in a head-on collision involving a medical transport van and an SUV on Campbellton Road. The crash happened after the medical transport van hit a curb on the righthand side of the road, causing it to lose control and cross into the opposite lanes of traffic. Bystander Irvinna Jenkins, who had just learned CPR, rushed to help the victims. (WSB Atlanta)

- Simone Corbin, 15, has been selected to represent the state in the Congress of Future Physicians honors program! Corbin was inspired to become a doctor after her mother had complications while giving birth to her little sister, and she hopes to one day become a physician who can help address the higher mortality rates among Black women during childbirth. - Atlanta City Council member Keisha Waites proposed a resolution to broadcast a public service announcement aimed at parents reminding them to know the whereabouts of their children at 9 p.m. every evening. The initiative, backed by every member of the council in attendance at the Mar. 20 meeting, is about accountability and hopes to partner with area media outlets to push out the message.
