Man Allegedly Bites Passenger Aboard Delta Flight From ATL: Reports
A Delta Air Lines passenger had to be detained after being accused of biting another passenger and hitting others, reports say.

ATLANTA, GA — A Delta Air Lines passenger was detained after being accused of biting another passenger and hitting others, media reports say.
Delta Flight 501 was en route from Atlanta to the Los Angeles International Airport Monday morning when the man allegedly went on attack and had to be restrained, both the Los Angeles Times and CNN reported.
The flight landed at the Los Angeles airport around 11:45a.m. PDT, and the man was taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation, USAToday reported.

"Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will work with law enforcement authorities," Delta spokesperson Samantha Moore Facteau told media outlets.
It is unknown if the man will face any charges. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident, reports say.

“The FAA pursues legal enforcement action against any passenger who assaults, threatens, intimidates or interferes with airline crewmembers, and can propose civil penalties up to $37,000 per violation,” the FAA said in a statement to CNN.
