Man Charged With Gun, Drugs Possession During ATL Traffic Stop
Fulton authorities said they smelled marijuana emanating from the Stone Mountain man's car during an Atlanta traffic stop.
ATLANTA, GA — A traffic stop for a seatbelt violation ended with Fulton County deputies arresting a man and accusing him of having guns and drugs in his car Friday.
The Fulton County Sheriff's Office on Saturday said deputies pulled over Nathaniel Streater, 29, of Stone Mountain, after accusing him of not wearing a seatbelt in Atlanta. A specific location is unknown.
When asked for his name and driver's license, authorities said Streater told them he did not have a license on him. Streater was also accused of giving deputies two different names and telling them he was from California.

Authorities said they smelled marijuana coming from the car while detaining Streater.
During a search of the car, authorities said they then found and seized several bags containing suspected marijuana totaling 96.1 grams, a bag containing several pills (suspected MDMA), a scale, a box of clear bags, two open bottles of tequila, a Glock handgun and a Kel Tec rifle.

Authorities said Streater was booked into the Fulton County Jail and charged on suspicion of the following:
- Two counts of possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies
- VGCSA – possession of controlled substance in schedule I or II with intent to distribute
- VGCSA – purchase, possess or have control of controlled substance in schedule I or II
- Possession and use of drug-related object
- Two counts of giving false information to law enforcement officer
- Two counts of driving – possession of open alcohol container
- Driving while license suspended or revoked
- Seatbelt violation – Adult
- Driving – defective or no taillights
Jail records showed that Streater was released from custody after posting bond on Sunday.
