When School Starts in Metro Atlanta Districts
DeKalb, Cobb, Fulton and Atlanta students will hit the books in the coming days.

METRO ATLANTA, GA -- Teachers and students in metro Atlanta have been enjoying rest and relaxation for the past two weeks, but the fun is just about over.
School districts in metro Atlanta are in the midst of a winter break that will end in the coming days. That means the time to hit the books is quickly approaching. If you are in Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties, you have one more weekend before it's back to business.
Here are the immediate school schedules for the major school districts around metro Atlanta:

Cobb County Schools District
The Cobb Schools District Office will re-open Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 a.m.

School personnel will also report back Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.
Students will report back to school Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017.

DeKalb County Schools
Classes in DeKalb County Schools will resume on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017. DeKalb County School District administrative offices will resume for business on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

Fulton County Schools
The Fulton County School System will re-open Jan. 4, 2017. Administrative offices and schools will re-open January 5, with teacher workdays planned for Jan. 5-6. Classes resume for second semester on Jan. 9.
Atlanta Public Schools
Classes in Atlanta Public Schools will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017. Atlanta Public Schools administrative offices will resume for business on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.

Gwinnett County Public Schools
Gwinnett County Public Schools will re-open Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 for teacher planning/staff development. Classes resume for second semester on Thursday, Jan. 5.
