And The Names Of Atlanta's Two Newest Pandas Are...

Zoo Atlanta's "100 Day Naming Celebration" comes to a close as names are chosen for two giant panda cubs.

ATLANTA, GA -- Zoo Atlanta's two giant panda cubs have been bestowed fitting names signifying their heritage and family background.

Ya Lun (yah-loon) and Xi Lun (shee-loon) were named in a ceremony Monday, the 100th day of the cubs' lives, which is in line with Chinese tradition. "Ya" means elegant, while "Xi" means happy, the zoo said in an announcement on its Facebook page.

"Together, the names mean 'Lun Lun's elegant and happy daughters," the zoo said, referring to the cubs' 19-year-old mother, who gave birth to them on Sept. 3.
