GWCC and Levy Restaurants partner for flex-menu restaurant space.

ATLANTA, GA -- To capture the quick-changing audiences that book the Georgia World Congress Center week in and week out, a restaurant with a chance of success would need a multi-faceted repertoire. Social Table, the new concept by Levy Restaurants, is just the thing.
The restaurant, which features a 35-seat bar and large multi-use space, offers a customizable event menu serving Southern BBQ, fresh-fired flatbreads one day and, depending on the event, hamburgers and hot dogs the next.
The eatery sees itself as a perfect solution for the varied conventions and expos that come to GWCC, from 1,000 cheerleaders to 20,000 hair show enthusiasts.

Adam Covington, director of operations at Levy, told a crowd gathered at Social Table's grand opening Thursday that the space is specifically designed for people visiting the GWCC.
"We looked at the behavior patterns (of the type of people coming to the center) to really help develop this concept," he said. "We've got nice low seats so that people can come sit down, get served a cocktail, have a meal, really hang out for 45 minutes to an hour," he said.

Power outlets dispersed throughout the eating area will allow diners to "plug in, maybe get some work done," Covington said.
The GWCC's large convention and exhibition space hosts scores of conferences each year, which will be a boon for the new eatery.
Levy Restaurants is a Chicago-based food service company that operates in large venues around the country, such as football stadiums and arenas.
