ATLANTA — Atlanta election runoffs are tomorrow and two candidates will go head-to-head in eight city races for voters' final decision.

But will voters return to the polls?

Early voting numbers say 'no,' continuing with the trend of waning participation in runoff elections.

Of course, voters had less time to get to the polls early, turning in 36,232 early votes, according to Fulton County unofficial runoff tallies. The general election earlier this month finished with more than twice as many early votes — 74,222.

The polls open at 7 a.m. in Atlanta, and you are able to vote if you're in line when the polls close at 8 p.m. Go to My Voter Page to find your precinct, although if you voted on Nov. 2, you'll back to the same place.

The races in the spotlight will be Atlanta Mayor and Atlanta City Council President.

Current Council President Felicia Moore cruised into the runoff while Councilmember Andre Dickens edged out a tight race for second over former Mayor Kasim Reed.

Dickens and Moore will meet again Monday evening at 5 p.m. for a virtual debate sponsored by The New Georgia Project and the Center for Civic Innovation.

Meanwhile, Civil and Human Rights Center CEO Doug Shipman and Councilmember Natalyn Archibong reached the runoff and will meet again on Tuesday's ballot.

Each of the eight races is the result of no candidate being able to reach the state-mandated threshold of 50 percent plus one vote on the Nov. 2 election.
