- Three men were shot and injured at a park east of Atlanta on Saturday. The three men were sitting in a car at a park in Covington when four other men approached, Newton County sheriff deputies said. No suspects have been arrested, and investigators have yet to name any leads. (U.S. News)
- On Monday, Mar. 13, the Minnesota Timberwolves will try to continue a three-game road-winning stretch against the Atlanta Hawks starting at 7:30 p.m. The Hawks are favored to win by 4 points against the Timberwolves. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- The Atlanta Department of Transportation and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management held a town hall to give Atlanta residents long-awaited updates on DeKalb Avenue and Krog Street improvements. Officials held the meeting at Israel Baptist Church and told the crowd that resurfacing of DeKalb Avenue will be completed by fall of 2023. (Decaturish.com)
- Thousands of residents in and around Atlanta are reported without power as rainy and stormy weather moved into the area on Sunday. According to the Georgia Power website, the outage map shows there were more than 4,000 customers within multiple counties without power. As of yesterday morning, the severe storm threat diminished, with only counties south of I-20 in a level of 1 of 5 threat meaning an isolated chance for severe storms. (Atlanta News First)
- The discovery of a gun at Renaissance Middle School in Fulton County forced the institution to go under lockdown on Wednesday, Mar. 8. A spokesperson from the institution reported that the entire school was put in a hard lockdown as a precautionary measure after a student told an adult they saw another classmate on campus in possession of a gun. (FOX 5 News)

- MARTA Bus Services will increase their weekday service on select bus routes and several routes will start service earlier, effective as of Mar. 11. - Are your teens interested in playing basketball? The Atlanta Parks and Recreation will be hosting a free basketball tournament for teens ages 13-18 on Tuesday, Apr. 4, at CT Martin Recreational Center, beginning at 6 p.m. (ATL Parks & Rec via Twitter)
