You can attend in person or join virtually by contacting the chaplain for details.

Augusta Arena sees progress as downtown businesses anticipate its completion (wrdw.com) — Construction of the new Augusta Arena is on schedule and on budget, with crews now pouring upper-level concrete for the 10,000-plus seat venue that will replace James Brown Arena. AAA reports Georgia drivers are getting early Christmas gift, as gas prices continue steady decline (wjbf.com) — Drivers around Augusta are seeing some of the cheapest gas prices in Georgia, with averages around $2.57 in Richmond County and $2.43 in Columbia County as holiday travel peaks. AAA says the Augusta metro is now among the state’s least expensive markets, giving local families a little extra cash for Christmas while experts urge shoppers to compare stations and combine errands to save even more.
   

4. 2 big-winning lottery tickets sold at local stores (wrdw.com) — Two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold at Get It To Go on Milledgeville Road in Augusta and at a Kroger in nearby Evans, giving local lottery players a big weekend. The story also notes other sizable wins across Georgia and highlights local charitable efforts, including SRP Federal Credit Union’s $115,000 Random Acts of Kindness initiative and Golden Harvest’s partnership at Fort Gordon.
