Armed Man Fatally Shot By Barrow Deputies: GBI
Deputies were at Thorn Brook Circle to investigate a domestic disturbance when three deputies shot at the 60-year-old man, the GBI said.
BETHLEHEM — A 60-year-old Bethlehem man was shot and killed by Barrow County deputies Sunday at Thorn Brook Circle, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Monday.
The GBI said the Barrow County Sheriff's Office responded to Thorn Brook on a domestic disturbance call when they were confronted by the armed man.
Authorities did not say what led to the police shooting but did say three deputies shot at the man, identified as Robert Reynolds Sr. Reynolds later died at a local hospital, the GBI said.

Reynolds was taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy, the agency said. No deputies were injured in the shooting, the GBI said.
Once the GBI's investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Piedmont Judicial Circuit for review.

This is the 96th shooting involving an officer the GBI has been requested to investigate this year.
