Daily Dose for Job Seekers: Cobb County Recruiting Deputies

The Georgia Department of Labor is assisting the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department in recruiting deputies.

A recruitment and information session will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

While no prior experience is necessary, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a GED. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens who hold valid driver’s licenses. Applicants are encouraged to dress properly to increase their chances of employment, have pens for filling out applications and have plenty of resumes.

Starting salary is $38,355.20 per year.
