A deputy was able to stop the suspect as he was traveling on his motorcycle. The suspect advised he and the victim had an argument and that it had been physical but, according to the incident report, he was initially very vague and general in his explanation. The suspect denied striking the victim with his helmet but advised he punched the victim after he was pushed. The deputy then checked out the suspect's helmet and observed a fresh, white paint transfer on the helmet. The suspect initially said he might possibly have thrown the helmet but did not throw it at the victim, and then said he threw it just past the victim, missing by a couple feet. The suspect then said the victim was sitting, contradicting his previous statement that the fight began when he was pushed.
According to the incident report, the only visible injury on the suspect was an abrasion on his right knuckle that corresponded with both statements and the injury to the victim's left ear.
