Section of Old Gainesville Midland Rail Line Unearthed by Winder Utility Workers

A portion of the rail was still intact.

Utility workers with the city of Winder uncovered a portion of the old Gainesville Midland Rail Line on Monday morning, Nov. 12, as they were digging a sewer trench from Athens Street to Midland Avenue. A portion of the rail was still intact.
