No Weapons Found, No Threat At Winder-Barrow High: BCSS
The police investigation included a number of individuals inside of the school, police told Patch.
WINDER, GA — No weapons were found at Winder-Barrow High School after three people who were not students were found inside of the high school, prompting a lockdown Thursday, school officials told Patch.
Dr. J.B. Bowen is the assistant superintendent for support services at the Barrow County School System. He told Patch three people were recognized by school resource officers as not being students at the high school. Bowen said they were behaving suspiciously.
The SROs then tried to question the trio, but the three people ran from the building.

Out of precaution, the school system placed Winder-Barrow High on lockdown around 10:15 a.m. The lockdown was lifted around 11 a.m.
Bowen said Russell Middle School and Winder Elementary School were also placed on lockdown due to their proximity to the high school.

Winder Police confirmed to Patch around 11:30 a.m. a police investigation was taking place at Winder-Barrow. Police assisted the Barrow County Sheriff's Office at the scene.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the three people fled in a black car. Authorities are working to identify them.
There was never any danger or threat to the school, and the school system notified parents of the incident, Bowen said.
SROs will remain on the school campus throughout the remainder of the day.
