UPDATE: 1 Dead, 1 Injured at Crash at Buckhead Walgreens
A truck crashed through a retaining wall and hit a man as he was leaving the drugstore on Friday afternoon.
One man died and another was injured following a truck wreck at the Walgreens at Piedmont and Roswell roads Friday afternoon.
Atlanta police are investigating the crash that occurred around 3:30 p.m., according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
11 Alive reports that 59-year-old Calvin Sims had walked out of the drugstore and was headed to his car when the truck crashed through the retaining wall and fatally struck him.

Police told WSB-TV that the driver of the Toyota Tacoma truck, driving northbound on Roswell Road, tried to turn left on Piedmont Road hitting a southbound-traveling vehicle. The truck driver then hit another vehicle, veered off the road and hit a parked car before crashing through the Walgreens retaining wall.
The truck driver had suffered from a medical condition when he lost control of the vehicle. He was transported to Grady Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, according to news reports.

The fatal crash shut down Roswell Road from Powers Ferry to Piedmont roads for the afternoon.
No charges are pending at this time, and police continue to investigate the crash, WSB reports.
