60+ Guests Evacuated After Buckhead Hotel Blaze

Two hotel guests were evaluated for difficulty breathing after a nearby Buckhead parking deck caught fire Monday.

BUCKHEAD, GA β€” At least 60 guests at a Pharr Road hotel were evacuated Monday morning after a nearby parking deck caught fire, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Atlanta Fire Rescue responded around 4:30 a.m. to Homewood Suites by Hilton after receiving a report of a small fire inside of the parking deck.

Fire officials said the fire, located on the parking deck's second floor, was upgraded to a two-alarm fire. Firefighters used a ground ladder to extinguish two vehicles that had caught fire in the deck, fire officials said.

Two guests were evaluated for difficulty breathing.

No one was injured as a result of the large blaze, the AJC reported.
