The Atlanta Police Department (APD) announced Thursday that it received information on “the call to violence made in relation to the January 18, 2023, officer-involved shooting in unincorporated DeKalb County, near the future site of the City of Atlanta's Public Safety Training Center.” The department said it's committed to maintain safety on the streets and place officers “on high alert.” (APD)

Presso is betting on it, and we learned on Friday that Buckhead America Hospitality is among the investors who raised $10.1 million for the project. “Using its patented Stretch AI, Chemistry, and Tech engineering, Presso has created a climate-conscious garment care system that takes a garment from dirty and wrinkled to fresh ones in a short amount of time, enabling hotel owners and managers to save time, electricity bills, and labor costs.” (Tech Funding News)
3. In June, the 2023 CPS Research Symposium comes to the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. The topics of discussion will be food safety, such as “mechanisms to prevent Cyclospora infection, food safety risks posed by wild birds, environmental contamination control measures in processing facilities, and cleaning processes in a dry packinghouse environment.” (The Packer)
