ATLANTA — Kefi, a 25,000-square-foot playhouse for parents and children, is opening in Buckhead on August 31. Founder and CEO Drew Panayiotou said he was inspired to find a better way for families to have fun and connect after a disappointing day at a family entertainment venue with his five-year-old son.

“Kefi is the answer for busy parents who value ‘me time’ and ‘we time’,” said Panayiotou. “Families deserve a space that is everyday special for both parent and child, where it can be an escape during a busy week versus just a weekend.”

Drawing from his time at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Best Buy, Panayiotou focused on developing high-tech solutions for Kefi that empower families to take control of their experience. He looked to his creative partner, Barry Williams, to design the layout and engineer the immersive, story-driven play experiences for families. Williams brings more than 15 years of experience leading technical teams and artists at Lucasfilm for over 18 motion pictures and franchises, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the Marvel Universe.
